Qavah Inspirations

Where Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Hearts

Finding Light in Ancient Words

Why I Write

The beep of a heart monitor. The whisper of wind through the trees. In both spaces, emergency situations and forest clearings, I’ve witnessed humanity’s most profound moments. As an emergency care worker by profession and an outdoor adventurer at heart, I’ve found that ancient Scripture speaks to both worlds with surprising power.

Each shift brings encounters with fear, hope, courage, and transformation – themes powerfully echoed in Scripture. In emergency situations, I witness raw human experiences that mirror biblical narratives: moments of crisis that lead to profound trust, darkness that gives way to dawn, and the unwavering presence of divine comfort. When not serving others, I find restoration in nature, hiking trails, and climbing mountains that remind me of His grandeur. These experiences, witnessing human struggle and divine majesty, sparked my passion for biblical storytelling and led to the creation of Qavah Inspirations.

The Power of Story

Each trail tells the story of the landscape it crosses, just as biblical narratives reveal paths of faith walked by those before us. Through biblical fiction and contemplative pieces, we delve into the layers of meaning within these divine narratives – the courage beneath action, the faith behind miracles, the humanity within divine stories, and the hope driving transformation. This principle guides my storytelling, born from years of understanding that healing requires more than addressing immediate needs – it requires embracing the deeper journey of the soul.

Why “Qavah”?

My time in both patient care and wilderness has taught me that hope isn’t passive – it’s an active force that keeps us alert and ready. That’s what the Hebrew word “Qavah” means: active, expectant hope. Like a hiker watching for dawn from a mountain summit or a prophet watching for God’s movement, it’s about staying ready for transformation. In emergency situations or on mountain trails, I’ve learnt that the most profound moments of hope often come in seasons of waiting.

A Space for Growth

Like a well-worn mountain path that welcomes all travellers, Qavah Inspirations offers biblical fiction and contemplative pieces that bridge ancient wisdom with modern life. Here, like wildflowers in an alpine meadow, diverse perspectives and experiences flourish together, enriching our understanding of Scripture. Although I write under the pen name Asher Stone, my commitment to creating genuine connections with readers remains at the heart of everything I share.

A verse that captures this vision is:

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”

Ephesians 5:8

This journey from darkness to light isn’t one we’re meant to walk alone. Together, we explore these ancient stories, finding fresh insights and encouragement for our modern paths.

My Promise & Invitation to You

Drawing from both my experiences serving others and moments spent in nature’s quiet wisdom, I promise to:

I invite you to join me in exploring these sacred stories through monthly biblical fiction and contemplative pieces. Together, we’ll discover how every path – whether physical or spiritual – has its steep climbs, peaceful valleys, and awe-inspiring vistas, all part of the greater story He’s writing in our lives.

From my heart to yours,

Asher Stone

Together in Qavah – actively hoping, faithfully seeking, walking in His light.
